Jun Dizon has already paid for their entrance to
ANP 2005 and has also donated extra money to fund
the party. Please see updated expense spreadsheet
attached.
Also, the program is now official. Vicky has decided
that because the Priest
will be coming late (7:30 p.m.), it may not be advisable
to hold a mass so we
will just have Fr Basarte give his blessings instead.
Joey - can you move Mario Yenko and Mamauag's
story to In Loving Memory and put
back ANP 2005 at the top of the home page. Thanks
OK SO FAR DONE ARE:
* Clubhouse - paid
* Litson (Pilipinas style cooked on charcoal not
oven) - ordered
* DJ - paid
* Program - done
* Priest - done
* Website - done
* Plastic Utensils - bought and ready
* Sodas/Beer/Wine - bought and ready
TO BE DONE:

Here are the latest updates 10 days to ANP 2005:
*
Program almost done. Still waiting for confirmation
from Suzette Dizon and
Renato Santiago if they will be ready with their
program numbers by Dec 3 before
we make it official (see attached program). Oscar
Guerrero will once again be
the Program Director
<<Araw Ng Pasasalamat 2005 Program.doc>>
* Confirmed list of attendees and expenses attached.
We also have a very
"probable" list of maybes that could
bring our numbers to over one hundred.
* Father Aldrin Basarte (916-521-9868) of Sacred
Hearth Church will probably
attend our party courtesy of Susan Gonzales. Susan
will also be the designated
person to collect all donations for Bantay Bata
163. She is arranging a
partnership with 2 other organizations (Divine
Mercy and Family Prayer Group)
for this fund raiser. Still in question is if
we will have enough time for
Father Basarte to deliver a mass. I am also making
arrangements with the staff
of the Mentally Delayed children of RC USD to
sponsor their Christmas Party this
year. I will probably need volunteers to cater
and service the party. Funds
will be taken from the Pledge For A Song part
of our program.
*
Edel Bautista who recently moved to Sacramento
has volunteered to help
decorate or set up. Need more volunteers
* Nicho Ogoy is in the process of creating a TRIBUTE
video for Jane Fabio,
Mario Yenko and his mom and Maria Mamauag. We
will play the Tribute Video in
our party during the program. Yenko family and
Mamauag family will send
pictures to me, while still waiting confirmation
from Willie Rafanan about
Jane's family.
* Thank you Mike for sponsoring the clubhouse
and the DJ expenses. Malaking
tulong.
Thank you all and keep on recruiting for more
attendees so we can break last
year's attendance record. FYI - 2003 (113 people),
2004 (127 people). |

Hello
everyone,
I would like to extend our warmest welcome to
our new members. Kamusta kayong lahat.
We are now in the initial stage for the annual
"Araw Ng Pagsasalamat", and we
would want to hear from you all.
First, we are thinking of moving the date to December
03,2005. It would be 2
celebrations, Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! And
we have some activities to
prepare for this, my best one is the Christmas
Caroling. I think we are going to
have fun, during the practices and the actual
presentations. We need volunteers
for the different dances, songs, and we can even
do a skit ( Christmas skit
)...let's uncover all those hidden talents and
maybe discover future
"American-Filipino Idols!!!.
I know that if we all put our heads and efforts
together we can have a major
production that can allow us to generate funds
to share with our less fortunate
brothers and sisters back home, especially during
the Season of Sharing. So my
dear "kababayans", please send us your
feed back and we are all open for ideas
and suggestions.
Sa inyung lingkod,
Vicky Antiporda
Ps. I think it is about time to relinquish the
privilege you have extended to
me and put some "young" blood to the
position. But I will definitely be always
behind to support this great organization of ours
in whatever capacity I am
needed. So on our next meeting we will be accepting
nominees for the position.
